The World Conker Championships is committed to making our event as accessible and enjoyable as possible for all visitors, including those with disabilities. Below you’ll find helpful information about access, facilities, and support available at the Championships.
The Championships are held in an open outdoor venue in Southwick, Northamptonshire. Most of the site is flat and on grass. While we aim to make pathways clear and navigable, please be aware that weather conditions may affect ground firmness.
The event site is generally accessible to wheelchair users. There are no steps or major obstacles across the main viewing and participation areas. Some areas may be less accessible during wet weather.
Designated parking spaces for Blue Badge holders are available close to the main event entrance. Spaces are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Please display your Blue Badge clearly or be prepared to provide an explanation as to why you would need access to the disabled parking area.
A wheelchair-accessible toilet is available on site and is located near the main facilities area within the Southwick village hall. Signage will be provided on the day to guide you and stewards will be able to assist you should you have any difficulties.
Friendly stewards are available throughout the day to provide information or assistance if needed. Please don’t hesitate to ask for help. Registered carers accompanying visitors with disabilities are eligible for free entry. Please contact us in advance or speak to the admissions team on the day.
If you have specific accessibility requirements or questions about your visit, we encourage you to get in touch ahead of time. We’re happy to provide further details or discuss how we can support your visit.
